The Process, Step By Step

- Mask surrounding panels, trim, glass, and tires.
- Protect nearby areas from overspray.
- Apply primer over bare metal or filler.
- Allow it to dry or cure.
- Block sand the primer smooth (usually 400 to 600 grit).

- Find the vehicle's paint code.
- Mix the basecoat using a paint mixing system.
- Spray a test card to verify the color.
- Tint if necessary for an accurate match.
- Spray light coats over the repair.
- Gradually blend the color into the surrounding original paint.
- Allow flash time between coats.
- Spray 2 to 3 coats of clear over the repair and blend area.
- Allow proper flash time between coats.
- Air dry, use infrared curing, or bake if equipment is available.
- Follow the paint manufacturer's recommended cure times.
- Remove masking.

- Compound and polish to restore gloss.
- Inspect the repair in different lighting.
Common Questions
Mobile Auto Body Service FAQ
Will the paint actually match my car's original color?
Yes. We pull your vehicle's factory paint code and mix the color to match before blending it into the surrounding panel, the same standard used at a traditional collision center.
Do you come to my home or office in West Palm Beach?
Yes. Roadside Refinishing is a fully mobile auto body service. We bring the equipment to you anywhere in West Palm Beach and the surrounding Palm Beach County area.
How long does a mobile repair take?
Most spot repairs, scratches, and small dents are completed the same day. Larger panel refinishing jobs may take longer, and we'll give you a clear timeline with your quote.
Is the work warrantied?
Yes, every repair is backed by a warranty. Details are confirmed with your quote before work begins.
